This CPD activity consists of 8 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) designed to test your knowledge on the management of type 2 diabetes—you will then be prompted to reflect on your learning.
The questions relate to the Guidelines for Nurses summary of the SIGN guideline on Management of type 2 diabetes, which covers the principles of type 2 diabetes management and appropriate choices of glucose-modifying treatments.
On completion of this activity, you should be able to:
- diagnose diabetes according to the World Health Organization criteria
- identify appropriate glycated haemoglobin and blood pressure management targets for patients with type 2 diabetes
- choose appropriate pharmacological treatments for patients with type 2 diabetes.
